The Blind Man

I was walking here and there on a street

Street was crowded, but I was alone

I was waving my hand

To see if someone will give me hand to see the world

One Sunday I was waving my hand as usual

I was lucky, I felt someone hold my hand tightly

I felt the warmth, so I had no need of waving my hand back again

I was excited, I thought now I could see the world

Don’t know how to write what I felt

We started walking along the street; still the hands were held tightly

We passed so many junctions, we crossed so many bridges

But none of us fallen down by losing hands

Cos the hands were tightly held

We walked and walked, but I feel no tired

I was looking the beauty of the world

World is amazing, that’s what I felt

I never thought I need another hand to see the beauty of the world

One Thursday, we reached to another junction

I had no fear, cos we have passed so many junctions

I was wrong, it was like a destination

I felt that the tightly held hands are getting lose

I was afraid, I shouted, I cried but I was helpless

Someone has taken the hand away from me

I was shocked

I had no idea of doing what

I wanted to find where you went

But I heard there are lots of streets beginning from the junction

No one knows where you went

I wanted to find which path u used

But I failed; I didn’t see where you went

Cos I was blind

If I saw where u went

I could follow to get the warmth back

I don’t want to try all the paths to see what the correct path is

I was alone at the heart of the junction

I will never go on another path other than the path you have gone

As I’m blind what I can do is turn back and walk alone the same path that we came along

If so at least I could reach where I was
